Greetings,
My name is Callum Scott and I am a twenty-something native of the British Isles and a complete foodie. Hearing tales about a city where independent coffee shops thrive and chains wilt, persuaded me to up sticks, pack bags and head to the great Victorian city of Melbourne.
It was on an East London Bus in the cold English winter when a friendly Melburnian woman passionately described the fantastic food culture that exists in Melbourne and the incredible eateries that abound in the city's hidden laneways.
With this tip in hand, I decided to set off on a foodie’s quest to discover all that the city’s culinary melting pot has to offer. From Lebanese to Vietnamese and Italian to Australian I am attempting to eat my way through Melbourne's restaurants, one plate at a time.

It is the goal of this blog to write a little piece about all the fine establishments I eat and drink in, with varying degrees of detail, from the morning cup of joe at one of Melbourne’s hundreds of independent coffee shops, to late night plates of tapas, and everything in between.
And of course to compile a comprehensive list of the top breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and spots to have coffee, in the city.

So welcome, and come along and follow me as I explore the city’s lanes, drink copious amounts of coffee, and attempt to eat like a king on the budget of a pauper, sampling the best the city has to offer.
